THE ROAD AHEAD: REIMAGINING MOBILITY

The Road Ahead was a comprehensive collection of approximately 40 design projects inspired by technologies all revolving around transportation. This required working closely with the two curators at the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum responsible for bringing the topic to fruition. The design process underwent multiple design meeting, sketches, full-scale prototypes, and detailed plans and elevations of various schemes. Once settled on an approach that fulfilled the needs of each individualdesign project, the fabrication went underway on the third floor of the Carnegie Mansion. The intention of the exhibition was to encourage visitors to consider how there various technologies could some day redefine the urban infrastructure we have familiarized ourselves with. The exhibition asks questions about equity and efficiency, along with sustainability and how the implementation of these transportation based technologies would effects the visitor on an individual basis.
